Yes, there are beer bars on Koh Chang, and no it is nothing like Pattaya or Koh Samet… Most are very laid back affairs that can be a great place to get a nice cold beer or a place to meet the next love of your life… The nice thing about Koh Chang is that all these bars are not the annoying and in-your-face places like other islands sometimes… just a lot of fun at anytime.
The main areas are a place called Mini-Pats in central White Sands and there a many small bamboo bars in Chia Chet that have sprung up lately.
Kai Bae is also getting a lot of smaller bars, they change names quickly but that is the nature of the trade.
