After traveling around for years one thing that comes to mind is that Americans know how to make a great sandwich- let’s face it the US runs on coffee and sandwiches. So it should be no surprise that Crust Bakery, ran by Barry, an ex-pat American from New Jersey and his Thai wife- know how to make a damn good sandwich. Yes, the breads and baked goods are great also… but we want to tell you more about the sandwiches and coffees…
Located in central Klong Prao, right beside the 7-11, Crust Bakery has been not only making some good bread and baked goods for over five years they also offer up a great sandwich selection and decent coffees, including mochas, cappuccinos, and a few interesting ones like almond and banana lattes… good for anyone who wants a good break, fast service and a cool place to hang out. The menu has ham and cheese, bratwurst and salami as just some of the selections…
Crust Bakery, is a well… a bakery inside with a huge selection of baked goods, select breads, cakes and of course a decent menu for sandwiches and some other quick food. Outside is a really nice shaded area with comfortable seats and being breezy and shady – it does make for a good place to spend a bit of time. It has an un-rushed and quiet atmosphere, nice for a spot of relaxing, or visiting with friends.
Crust supplies some of the better places on the island with their baked goods and so they have a good selection of decent, hearty breads and cakes on-hand just about all the time. If you are looking for a higher end and filling specialty bread – head on in.
But back to the sandwiches, they are American sized portions with fresh ingredients and no skimping on the quantity and quality. Just the way it should be, but often hard to find in Thailand, but you can find them here with Crust Bakery.
