When you have a view this good who needs a zippy name! Family Restaurant is located on Klong Prao beach, not the easiest place to get to but if you follow the map below it is not that hard. Once you get there and hit the beach area, well it is just great, fantastic, wonderful etc.. I am sure you know all the words I would use to describe it…
The restaurant is designed the basic Thai Beach decor and that is to say bamboo everything, very, very welcoming and with it right on the beach… how can you not relax? Laid back, gentle breezes right on the shore, the waves coming in, the total beach hang-out restaurant to be sure…
The menu is predominantly Thai, and we would recommend that, quite a few choices and of course there are many western dishes to choose from also, but the Thai items are really good. They seem to get a lot of customers fleeing from the high priced resorts in the area and so there is usually a good crowd at the place.
The green curry was great, the burger was fine, and the fruit shakes were awesome! Try the fruit shakes!
The Family Restaurant was right on the money for service and quality, the prices are not steep and the selection is good. Another perfect beach area to head to and enjoy your day or early evening.
Go to the Amari Hotel in Klong Prao and keep going around the hotels until the road turns to a dirt drive. Take the first turn off towards the beach and in about 50m you are there.
