The Tropicana is one of Koh Chang’s better resorts with full amenities and right on Klong Prao beach. The area itself is fully a tropical garden and the Tropicana provides just about everything on ones list of a great hotel. Quiet location, comfortable rooms, on one the best beaches on Koh Chang, close to lots pf small restaurants and shops, full service and lots of nice touches.  You really could not go wrong here.

Top Resort is located at the southern end of White Sands and although not on the beach it does offer stunning views from the cliff-side of the sea and sunsets. They have a small private beach that is rocky, with little swimming, but it an interesting area and quite breezy for those hot days. If you want the  beach it is within walking distance and so no worries. It is a solid three star hotel that offers good amenities and is a good value for what you pay for. With their German management it caters a lot ,of course, to Germans. One of the better Restaurants in Koh Chang called Pauls restaurant is located top side, and for some that is reason enough to stay. Well looked after, clean and good rooms makes this a good choice for those who want a good value place to stay.

Finding Resotel is not the easiest thing here on Koh Chang, but it could be worth it, if you know the details of the hotel and that suits you. Located in pearl Beach the Resotel is not usually busy and so they have lower staff levels than one would expect for a resort of this size. On one hand that means you have a less busy place and on the other hand sometimes finding staff might be a bit of a chore. With their location you are not close to the beach, but White Sands is just a short drive away. Resotel might be the perfect place to stay for a bit longer term. Or if you want to be in a quiet area, but still close enough to the action of White Sands. The reviews are mixed for Resotel but in a strange way, either people love the place or hate it. We think that it is worth a look and see if it suits what you really want.

Situated right on the beach and close to Kai Bae proper the resort offers over 70 rooms from detached bungalows to more traditional hotel style rooms.  Rated as three stars and with good reviews the resort offers most of the amenities one would expect and few surprises. Location is good and overall you cannot go wrong staying here.

Located in Bai Lan, Baansanook Bungalows offers a quiet location and good price for what you get, a good choice if you want to be close to Lonely Beach, but not live among the crowds there. VJ Hotel is between the Dewa and Amari Emerald Cove hotels, a short drive down a quiet sidestreet in Klong Prao. It is not quite what one might expect between sandwiched between two of the top hotels in Koh Chang, it is definitely a three star hotel. Sort of like an average girl standing between two models, it does not rate as high as her neighbors. But you do get a nice beach, central location and quite a few facilities. The problem is that lately there have been quite a few negative reviews intermixed with the average ones – so we would recommend that you check it out yourself, and then decide. Mixed reviews on most sites

Nirvana Resort has been scoring great reviews right across the board for their attention to detail and beautiful design. Located in a a very secluded and quiet area the resort is perfect for a quiet and luxurious getaway with not only a salt water pool, but a fresh water pool, easy beach access and their becoming-famous Tantra restaurant.

Located in South Klong Prao, Magic Resort gets good reviews and has accommodation right on the beach, good family rooms, quiet area, big restaurant and mentioned several times as good value for the money. popular with Thai families and westerners looking for good value.

Located on the Klong Prao River this boutique resort has only five rooms ensuring a small clientele and intimacy. Designed with a mix of Arabic and Thai influences it is quite an interesting mix of cultures. Based on the Klong Prao river it is a quiet and nice area, just a stones throw from one of the main beaches on the island. Each room is uniquely decorated and they offer good amenities.
