Here is a Thai Modern Festival that is quite unique and maybe even worth taking in; the Samui International Body Painting Festival. Running every March the artists and models descend on Samui to show just what it is they have to be number one in the world.
The human body has always been a canvas for decoration from tattoos to piercings to make-up and this event seems to be a natural out-take on that. Designs are out of this world, amazing and simply fantastic..
Besides the usual body painting that takes the limelight there is also nail painting, henna, doll painting and painting on recycled goods.
I wonder if anyone here on Koh Chang has thought that some kind of festival during High-Season might be a good idea. Seems to help out a lot of other places around the globe… so here is another great idea we could steal 
Of course with Jazz, Rock, racing, body painting and others it might be a bit of a stretch to come up with something new… but who knows, there are a lot of creative ideas out there and one might just be a good one.
