Sushi Time!
Samurai Sushi is located in central Kai Bai and offers a good selection and quick service with a great selection of sushi plates!
There were a few sushi places along the main road a while back, but they seem to have either closed or moved on… but Samurai is still open and dishing out the goods. Good news for anyone who needs some California rolls or fresh salmon – fresh as in raw with wasabi and soy sauce!
The chef is right behind the counter making several combined dishes with a good amount of skill and as always with sushi, very quick… no worries about the service or cleanliness. Clean matters in sushi and so we are going to mention it.
The restaurant is basic and yet inviting with A/C about a dozen seats and a fairly laid back atmosphere. To be honest it is not a high end place but a lot more homey, relaxed and just about perfect for a small group or on your own.
Not expensive but not as cheap as street-noodles… about average for Thai pricing in this area.
We can certainly recommend it. Samurai Sushi makes for a great take-out if you are looking for that perfect beach food. Imagine this – a hot sun, beautiful sand, a bit of shade, a cold drink and fresh sushi… with wasabi. Actually we just figured out what we are going to do tomorrow!
